In Zaporizhia diocese, reported that officials urge the faithful to attend the events of the Kievan “Patriarchate”, which will be held in the capital in honor of the baptism of Rus.
This was announced in an official address to the officials of Zaporizhzhya regional state administration, the Metropolitan of Zaporizhia and Melitopol Luka (Kovalenko).
“We have received complaints from clergy and parishioners, stating that you are not versed in the subject matter, blatantly under the guise of the name of the head of Zaporizhzhya regional state administration, in order to bend to some to undermine the power of individuals, forcing businesses to pay for buses to send to Kiev and participation in the events held on 28 July “UOC-KP” – said in the text of the appeal posted on the website of Zaporizhia diocese. – Moreover, in order to fill the buses with people, you “gently” suggest their subordinates to attend events of this “religious” structure, alluding to the fact that they are obliged to do part of their job descriptions”.
Metropolitan Luke expressed regret that some of the officials stoop to lies and pressure, lobbying interests artificially inflated (only on paper and in the media) of the religious structure.

The representatives of the Kievan “Patriarchate” plan on July 28 to carry out so-called religious procession in the Ukrainian capital on the anniversary of the baptism of Rus.
Previously, the former head of Kharkiv regional state administration Mykhailo Dobkin said that in the Kharkiv region people are forced to go on holidays to the temple of the UOC-KP for the extras.
