On mount Athos, the Hierarch of the UOC and the Abbot of the monastery offered prayers for peace in Ukraine


Archbishop Clement of Nijinsky during the divine services in St. Panteleimon monastery

During the Liturgy in the monastery of St Panteleimon, Archbishop Clement of Nijinsky and the Abbot Archimandrite Evlogy pray for peace in Ukraine.

The head of the Synodal Information and education Department of Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Archbishop of Nezhin and Priluki Clement visited the monastery on Mount Athos during the pilgrimage, reports “UNIAN”.

At the divine Liturgy, Bishop Clement was assisted by the Abbot of the monastery Archimandrite Eulogy and monks.

Near the relics of the Holy great Martyr and healer Panteleimon he prayed for the believers and the clergy of the diocese of Nizhyn.

Archbishop Clement also prayed for the repose of the soul of Metropolitan of Nizhyn and Pryluky Irenaeus (SEMCO), deceased 23 September 2017.

Informed about the world in Ukraine on Mount Athos prayed his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onufry.
