The Deputy head of the DECR, Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, said that Patriarch Bartholomew allowed himself a “serious distortion of the doctrine of the Church.”

The Primate of the Church of Constantinople in the meeting of the city Board of the Greek Diaspora in Istanbul said that “brothers-Slavs can not tolerate the primacy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and of our kind in Orthodoxy.” According to Patriarch Bartholomew, the ROC will have to obey his decisions regarding the Orthodoxy in Ukraine.
