It was the turn of Ukraine to receive the status of autocephaly, because it is her right, said Patriarch Bartholomew.

Autocephaly will be provided to Ukraine soon, and Fanar has the exclusive right to provide it. About Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew said on September 23, in the Church of St. Phocas in Constantinople, according to fanarion.blogspot.com.

The “Church of the Czech Republic and Slovakia – the newest of the Churches, that the Ecumenical Patriarchate proclaimed Autocephalous in 1998. Now it was the turn of Ukraine, which will receive the status of autocephaly, soon, I hope, despite the existing counter, and it will happen because it is her right. On the other hand, it is the exclusive right of our Ecumenical Patriarchate to grant autocephaly, as it was provided to all new Orthodox Churches, starting with Russia in the XVI century, and ending with the Church of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as I said earlier,” – said the Patriarch of Constantinople.

He said: “We are not afraid of threats. I recently said in one sermon that the Ecumenical Patriarchate does not threaten anyone, and no one is not afraid of threats, but marches steadily, fulfilling its mission in accordance with the Holy canons, embodying reverence the privileges that were granted to us by the rules of the Ecumenical Councils. We do not deny the rules and privileges given by the Councils of the mother Church of Constantinople. We read, we perform, and we will be guided by them in the case of Ukraine, and other occasions where need be.”

As reported by PWC, informed the Greek journalist Giorgos Papathanasopoulos said that if the Patriarchate of Constantinople will grant autocephaly to Ukraine, you will need to do the same in respect of all the Churches in Greece, including those which are under the jurisdiction Fanara.
