His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill expressed condolences to relatives of those killed in the crash of a helicopter Mi-8 in Krasnoyarsk region, has informed the head a Press-services of Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia priest Alexander Volkov.
“The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church prayed for the repose of the dead passengers and crew members of the helicopter that crashed in the Turukhansk district,” — said the press Secretary of Patriarch.
According to father Alexander, his Holiness asks you to convey his condolences and support to the families of the victims and expressed the hope that the regional authorities and the Krasnoyarsk Archdiocese will provide all necessary assistance to the relatives of the victims, reports patriarhiei.
As reported by news agencies, on the morning of 4 August 2018 helicopter Mi-8 of airline “UTair-Helicopter services” was wrecked in the Turukhansk district in the North-West of the Krasnoyarsk region. Two helicopters of the aviation company performed the take-off in the area of Vankor oil field. First off carried out a Mi-8 helicopter with external cargo suspension, and without passengers on Board, the second Mi-8AMT with work rotations. For unknown reasons, the second helicopter crashed into external load of the Mi-8 has fallen, collapsed and burned. On Board were three crew members and 15 passengers died. The helicopter crew without passengers were not injured. The authorities of Krasnoyarsk region have declared 6 August a day of mourning in the region.
