The chapel in honor of St. Vladimir – the southernmost Orthodox building in Antarctica
Acting Director of the Antarctic station “Akademik Vernadsky” asks Epiphany to take care of the chapel. The explorers also needed the drugs – in case of surgical operations.
The chapel in honor of Prince Vladimir at the Antarctic station “Akademik Vernadsky” should go under the custody of the PCU. This was reported in Facebook by the acting Director of the National Antarctic scientific center Eugene Wild.
“Signed and sent two letters within one hour: the Ministry of health regarding the legal authorization to buy and to deliver on the “Vernadsky” potent drugs (in case of surgical operations), and to the blessed Epiphanius regarding custody of the Local Church over the chapel at the “Vernadsky””, – he wrote.
According to the acting Director, a request narcotic the set coincided with a petition to move in ptsu is totally random, but it “reveals the theme of spiritual life in Antarctica more than full”.
Orthodox chapel in honor of Prince Vladimir was consecrated in 2011, and the consecration was led by Metropolitan of bila Tserkva and Bohuslav Augustine.
