The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko prayed at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem
During the visit to Israel the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko prayed at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem for the welfare of Ukraine and Israel.
Jewish Shrine Poroshenko visited with the chief Rabbi of Ukraine. It is reported by the chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Asman on his page in Facebook.
The Rabbi published a photo of the President in kippah, the traditional Jewish head-dress, and accompanied them with the inscription: “a Prayer for the welfare of Ukraine and Israel at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.”
As reported by the SPM, during his visit to Israel the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko was not able to meet with Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and gave him the message through her Deputy, Secretary of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, Archbishop aristarchos. Media reported that the Jerusalem Patriarchate had had a serious pressure, so he recognized the schismatics of the PCU and concelebrated with them.
Earlier, the President gave a speech about the Tomos praying to the Greek-Catholics in Zarvanytsya.
