Prayer in Chinese lifted up in the temple at the Kazan station of the Russian capital

    

July 2, 2018, the day of memory of St. John, Archbishop of Shanghai and San Francisco, and chief editor of the Publishing house of the Moscow Patriarchate Bishop Balashikha Nikolay co-served by clerics of the Chinese Autonomous Orthodox Church has celebrated the divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God at the Kazan station of Moscow, reports patriarhiei.

The Epistle and gospel at the Liturgy was read in Church Slavonic and Chinese; in the Chinese language was lifted up and part of the prayers.

After the augmented litany, Bishop Nicholas offered a prayer for peace in Ukraine.

After the Liturgy, before the image of St. John of Shanghai was committed to STS.

The place of Commission of the festive divine service was chosen: the Kazansky railway station “East gate” of the capital, and in the altar of the Kazan temple is a copy of the Tabynsk icon of the Mother of God. The Tabynsk icon was one of the revered relics of the Russian Diaspora; during the Civil war it was transferred to China, in Harbin it was in prior to the beginning of 1950-ies and was glorified by many miracles. After the expulsion by the Chinese authorities of the Russian population brought to Australia and then in San Francisco. Currently, the location of the Tabynsk icon is not known, but revered lists it exists in Russia and abroad.
