More than 500 people voted to Simferopol air port bore the name of a prominent surgeon of St. Luke the Crimean.
In the second stage of the contest “Great names of Russia” more than 500 people voted to name the airport of Simferopol by the name of St. Luke of Crimea, reports official website of the Crimean diocese.
The name of St. Luke was included in the list, which, by the final popular vote will choose a new name for the airport. The final stage of the contest will be held from 12 to 30 November 2018.
To vote on the contest website, in social networks or call the “hotline” 8-800-707-93-17. Travelers will be able to participate in selecting a name for the airport by filling out the form in the media, on Board the aircraft and positions “Volunteers of the Victory”, located in airports and railway stations.
