Thursday, October 11, at St. Catherine’s Cathedral the ark with the relics of St. John the Baptist. The relic was brought from the monastery of St. John the Baptist, which is located in the Christian quarter of Jerusalem, the press service of the Catherine Cathedral.
The moleben on the occasion of bringing of the relics was made by the vicar of the Yekaterinodar diocese Bishop Dionysius of Tuapse. He was assisted by the rector of St. Catherine’s Cathedral, Archpriest Igor Olzhabaev, the clergy of the main Church of the Kuban and the Abbot of the monastery of St. John the Baptist in the Christian quarter of Jerusalem Archimandrite Bartholomew Melissinos.
