Showers existed in the “Hangar of salvation” since opening the centre in 2014. Only in 2017 they washed more than 14.5 thousand people. So the return of preppy look is the first and very important step towards the restoration of normal lifestyle”.
Take the advantage of showers is possible during opening hours “Hangar of salvation”: on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00. Per day showers taking about 50 people, approximately half of all daily visitors. After each session the room is treated with disinfectant solution.
“Now the shower is ready for use, but we are lacking the usual towels. Unfortunately, the bathroom amenities we required in large volumes, they are not enough at all, and we have to give people a clean rag. Therefore, we gladly accept a gift of towels and bed linen, which can also be used for wiping,” – adds Irina Meshkova.
The opening of new showers at “the Hangar of salvation” will be headed by the head of service of assistance “Mercy” Bishop of Orekhovo-Zuevo Panteleimon. Prayer and opening the showers for the homeless will take place on August 15 at 12:00 at “the Hangar of salvation” at the address: Nikoloyamskaya street, in the yard 55.
