The hand of St. Spyridon were brought to Tula

    

10 September 2018 the ark with the right hand of St. Spyridon was delivered to Kolomna from Moscow to the assumption Cathedral of the city of Tula, according to patriarhiei.

With archpastoral words to the participants of the meeting asked the Metropolitan Tula and Efremovsky Alex: “Holy Hierarch of Christ and a great champion of Orthodoxy Spyridon and his right hand is in our Tula region, blessing her God-loving and hardworking people. Also addressed the attendees, the Governor of Tula region Alexey Dyumin and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Charity Fund named after Vladimir Vyacheslav Babiy.

After the solemn meeting of the Shrine is the reliquary with the hand of the Saint was brought to the Dormition Cathedral, where Metropolitan Alexy of Tula celebrated the divine Liturgy. His Eminence was assisted by Bishop of Belev and Aleksin Seraphim, and the clergy of the Tula Archdiocese.

Nice to see how many people came to the Cathedral from nearby towns during the night to the morning to participate in the divine Liturgy and to venerate the Holy relics. Thus we see that Orthodox Christianity, God and Saint Spyridon unite us, because we are brotherly peoples. I wish that the Lord heard all the prayers that will give Him Spyridon the Wonderworker”.

In Tula the ark with the right hand of St. Spyridon will remain until 16.30 on 11 September. Access to the Shrine is open around the clock.

In Russia, the Shrine will remain until October 15. To venerate the relics in Saint Petersburg, Tver, Saratov, Cheboksary, Yaroslavl and Moscow. Of the relics of Saint Spyridon is organized by the Charitable Fund named after Saint Prince Vladimir. The Fund, established in 2015, support social initiatives, charitable and educational programs.
