Bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomiya Tikhon
The deceased Bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomiya Tikhon was a zealous preacher of the Resurrection, said the Primate of the UOC.
Believers with a heavy heart took the news about the death, said the condolences of his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onufriy on the occasion of the death of the Bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomiya Tikhon, said the condolences of the Primate on the death of the Bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia Tikhon.
According to the Hierarch, the late Vladyka “from his youth yearned for God, inscribed on the tablets of their hearts the words of the Gospel: whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me (MK. 8:34). In the days of the atheist regime, without looking around, he fearlessly stood in the way of witnessing about Christ, which was to end his days. His grace for 4 years have made an archpastoral service of the Ivano-Frankivsk Department. The faithful remember Bishop Tikhon as a humble, friendly and sincere person, full of love for God and neighbor”.
“The Lord gave generously of his many talents, and he with all his strength and abilities served the Church of Christ, with the advantage of performing all of its obedience,” said the Primate.
He added: “As the successor of the Apostolic Ministry, the deceased Archbishop was a zealous preacher of the Resurrection, spoke wise words and example of his own life. The flaming faith in the Risen Christ, Bishop Tikhon lit the fire of faith, hope and love in the hearts of the flock entrusted to him”.
“Now the soul of the deceased Bishop’s will to God, Which always sought his warm heart. The diocese has lost a zealous Archpastor. Faith and prayer – let them be the gift that we bring to the Throne of the Lord of Glory for the repose of the newly departed Bishop Tikhon.

The burial service novopeschanaja lords will be headed by the Metropolitan of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna Meletius. Temporary management of the Ivano-Frankivsk diocese will implement the Archbishop of Lviv and Halych Filaret.
His grace George, Bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia Tikhon reposed in the Lord on July 14 on the 71st year of life.
