In the period from 16 may to 15 August 2018, recorded six cases of attacks on temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This is stated in the UN report on the situation of human rights in Ukraine. The report was published on 19 September on the official website of the Monitoring mission on Facebook, according to Information-enlightenment Department of the UOC.
“During the reporting period OHCHR (Office of the UN high Commissioner for human rights – ed.) documented six attacks on temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, the document reads. For example, on August 5, 2018 in Odessa on the front door of the three temples was written the words “Department of the FSB””.
The observers said that police opened a criminal case on two of the six recorded incidents.
