Your Holiness, beloved in the Lord brother and fellow servant!

I cordially greet You with the wish of the fortress and strength in this difficult for the Russian Orthodox Church and world Orthodoxy of the time.

In response to Your letter dated October 1, 2018 assure You, Your Holiness, in its unchanged position regarding the events in Ukraine rough intervention of the government in the internal life of the Church than the Synod of our Local Church, clearly expressed at its last meeting on 12 June 2018.

The Orthodox world recognizes only the canonical Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onuphrius. This fact on behalf of all those present repeatedly mentioned and confirmed by his Holiness, the Primate of the great Church of Christ of Constantinople Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Synaxis of the primates of the local Orthodox Churches, which took place in Chambesy (Switzerland) from 21 to 27 January 2016. Therefore, any attempt to legalize the Ukrainian dissenters from the state authorities must be strongly condemned by all primates of the local Orthodox Churches.

With brotherly Ukraine, we are linked not only to the proximity of the borders, but also kinship of the inhabitants of Carpathian Ruthenia, and for us the pain and sorrow of our speak not only of the same faith, but also half-Ukrainian brothers.

Since the Orthodox Church is based on the principle of catholicity, we firmly believe that any conflicts and disputes that threaten the unity of Orthodoxy, the Cathedral will be resolved in strict accordance to the generally accepted Church tradition and the Holy canons.

With fraternal love in the Lord,

+Rostislav, Archbishop of Presov Metropolitan of the Czech lands and Slovakia.
