Patriarch Bartholomew has refused the offer of the Russian Orthodox Church to initiate a pan-Orthodox discussion of the issue Thomas, said the yevstratiy Zorya.
The Ecumenical Patriarch rejected the initiative of the Russian Orthodox Church about the removal of a question of granting of the Tomos to the discussion meeting of the heads of the local Churches. About it October 5, wrote in his Twitter the President of the UOC-KP yevstratiy Zorya.
“The Moscow Patriarchate is trying to stop the granting of the Tomos, offering to bring this issue to the discussion of the meeting of heads of the local Churches – with the hope to delay the case, reported dawn. – The Ecumenical Patriarch, the Church of Greece and the Bulgarian Patriarchate has rejected the initiative of MP”.
Dawn also added that the meeting of all the local Churches on the Ukrainian question will happen in the future, but already with participation of the Primate of the Local Autocephalous UOC, after the implementation of the Tomos.
As reported by the SPM, the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill has sent letters to the heads of all the Orthodox Churches with the proposal to initiate a pan-Orthodox discussion of the situation around the Church life of Ukraine. Later the Synod of the Church of Antioch called the Patriarch of Constantinople convene an extraordinary meeting of Orthodox Churches to discuss the question of granting Autocephalous ecclesiastical status. The same appeal was addressed to the Patriarch Batholomew and Metropolitan of Warsaw and all Poland Sawa.
