According to sources, the meeting of the Synod of the Patriarchate of Constantinople the discussion on the Ukrainian autocephaly did not happen.

A regular meeting of the Synod of the Patriarchate of Constantinople began its work today, October 9, at 10: 00 Kyiv time. Session of the Holy Synod in Istanbul will be held from 9 to 11 October.
As reported in the media, from the representatives of Constantinople in the last days there was the information that the granting of autocephaly is on the “homestretch”. Experts have suggested that the Synod may consider the granting of the Tomos, but whether this document approval or discussion of it – is still unknown.
Earlier, the head of the UOC-KP Filaret said that he expects to receive the Tomos of autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church, 9-11 October.
