The UOC spokesperson: Our Church has fallen to the same fate as the righteous job

To take the example of his Beatitude Onufry, who hasn’t said a bad word against the President and Filaret, but speaks of Christ, said Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich.

Nikolai recalled that the UOC want to take away even the name.

“Just as job endured all his hardships and blessed God, and then lived another 140 years and died “satiated of days”, and we should be prepared that in some measure we may repeat (if the Christian faith to be) the fate of the Holy and righteous job,” – said the Deputy head of the DECR.

The priest noticed that in this sense, is illustrative of his Beatitude Onufry.

“He didn’t say a single bad word against the President, against Filaret, against the government. He speaks about Christ, about the gospel. And really that blesses God,” – said father Nikolai.

Earlier, the Deputy head of the DECR of the UOC Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich said that what is happening for the last four years in the life of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is the result of the political passivity of the faithful.According to father Nicholas, the faithful have the right to defend his position and protect his Church is a basic right of every person and citizen.
