First song of the Australian Hillsong Worship team has won the prestigious music award “Grammy”.
The composition of What A Beautiful Name from the album Let There Be Light (2016) was named the winner in the category “Best contemporary Christian song”.
Receiving the award, singer and songwriter Ben Fielding said: “no matter how you feel distant or close to God, no matter how huge you feel this distance, His love is greater, His name is more great, more beautiful than any other.”
In addition, the singer expressed gratitude to the pastors of the Church “Hillsong” and noted that the award belongs to many people who worked on the song.
In his message, the pastor of a global Church “Hillsong” Brian Houston wrote that song What A Beautiful Name “fearlessly exalts the name of Jesus.”
Earlier, in 2016 the album “Youth Revival” youth team, Hillsong Young & Free was nominated in the category “Best contemporary Christian music album.”
