“This special place”: the Japanese Princess visited the Temple-Monument on Blood

    

23 June 2018 the Ekaterinburg Temple-on-Blood and spiritual-educational center of “Royal” was visited by the Princess of Japan Hisako of Takamado, the press service of the Yekaterinburg diocese.

Her Highness had a tour of the temple, where he told the story of the Royal family and residence of members of the Romanov dynasty in the Urals in the last days of life. Mrs. Takamado saw the new “Royal room” – the altar of the chapel in honor of the Royal martyrs, built on the site of the murder of Tsar Nicholas II and his family members. Special attention was attracted by the unique mosaics in the Central part of the altar depicting the Holy Royal martyrs and injured them loyal subjects: Emperor Nicholas Alexandrovich, the Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, Tsarevich Alexis, Grand duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, St Eugene’s doctor Botkin, the Valet Alexei Troupe, the cook Ivan Kharitonov and room girl Anna Demidov. The altar blagoustroen to the memorable date of the centennial of the feat of the Royal family with the blessing of Metropolitan Kirill of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye.

After seeing in the art gallery of Church on Blood, the exhibition dedicated to the Royal martyrs and their faithful subjects, and the Alapayevsk martyrs saints Elizabeth Fyodorovna and nun Varvara, her Highness visited the upper Church in the name of All saints resplendent in the Russian land. Here Mrs. Takamado impressed with the decor and decoration of the Cathedral, took the camera, making pictures of the vault and frescoes, depicting scenes of the life of Tsar-Martyr and his family.

In the center of “Royal” Princess got acquainted with the exposition of the Holy Royal family, visited the Church of St. Nicholas, in the Synodal hall, visited the exhibition of the Ural artists of Alexei Efremov and Alexander Remezov, touched the keyboard of the legendary Imperial Grand piano, which was in exile with the family of the Emperor.

At the end of the visit Mrs. Takamado left comments in the visitors ‘ Book, expressing gratitude for an inspiring journey through Russian history and noted the deep importance of the Ural shrines for conservation.

Thanking the representatives of the Yekaterinburg diocese for the warm welcome, leaving the center of the “Imperial” Japanese Princess with special warmth spoke in Russian: “This is a special place.”

Note, the Princess of Japan Hisako of Takamado arrived in the Ural capital the day before, June 22. She plans to attend the football match between Japan and Senegal, which will take place tomorrow, June 24. Hisako of Takamado became a Princess in 1984 when she married the Prince of Norihito, Takamado. The Prince died in 2002 and they have three daughters who are also Imperial titles.
