Andriy yurash is convinced that identity is the only European principle by which to determine the membership of a religious community.
Commenting on the algorithms change jurisdictional affiliation of the religious community mentioned in the bill No. 4128, head of the Department for religions and nationalities of Ministry of culture Andriy yurash said that “everything is much simpler than many try to simulate it.”

“I think that in the Orthodox seminaries in recent times or very bad teachers of ecclesiology, or the priests do not study, or consciously manipulated, said yurash, the TV channel “Zik”. Because, according to Orthodox ecclesiology, everyone who was baptized in the Orthodox Church is the faithful of the Orthodox Church. That is, de facto, according to Orthodox Canon law, they are all members of this religious community.”
The representative of the Ministry of culture believes that the principle of self-identification is the only one that can be used to determine the belonging to a particular religious community, and proved that “expertise in the European structures, the European centre for minority issues”.
In the end yurash accused the Ukrainian Orthodox Church that, when it comes to voting for a change of jurisdictional facilities, she believes members of religious communities only “10 attendants”, worked in the temple.
“When you want to vote, you must vote 10 attendants: one cleans and gets money for it, second candle sells and gets the money, the third serve, the other 5-6 sing in the choir, said the official. – Ie now you want to manipulirovat and say (to vote – ed.) these 10-20 people who are not just biased, but personally depend on the priest, and there are often some financial subsidies”.
